Our Beginnings
With so many churches in town already, why another church? It's simple... there's a lot of people. We're not here to compete with area churches, but are here to preach the Gospel and to minister to people who don't have a church home. Beginning as a bible study group at a kitchen table in a home in Greenville, we quickly outgrew that venue, moving to the basement, and then to our own building in just a few short months. Shifting from a bible study group in a home, to a church group in a building we began holding services on Sundays and soon added a midweek gathering geared toward discipleship. Holding Services as a "church" since 2016, we've planted... and now we are gearing up to the countdown for a full launch in the near future. Stay tuned!!

Our Pastor
Rev. Rick Tennison, our founding Pastor, planted GWC with a vision to reach the un-churched population in the city of Greenville. While Pastoring a church in Eaton Ohio, Pastor Tennison began holding a weekly bible study on Thursday nights in Greenville... and that laid the foundation for our church launch. Prior to Pastoring in Eaton Ohio, Pastor Tennison served as an Assistant to the Pastor, and has served for well over 20 years in various roles including Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, Musician, Outreach Director, Ministerial Assistant, Janitor, Bus Ministry Director, and more! Pastor and Sis. Tennison have two adult children, and one grandson, and live in Lewisburg Ohio. Prior to full time ministry Pastor worked for 14 years for a major financial services / insurance company in a variety of roles including Corporate Trainer, Sr. Business Analyst, Limited Registered Representative, and more.
